Jesse Casas is a Principal Research Associate who has 30 years of experience studying travel behavior and public transit for clients throughout the U.S., including regional planning agencies, public transit agencies, and state departments of transportation. He has managed large-scale transit and travel-behavior studies to support travel demand modeling efforts. His experience in household travel surveys ranges from directing small- to mid-scale regional surveys to large-scale regional and statewide surveys.
Casas’s public transit work focuses on the travel patterns, customer satisfaction, and safety and security of fixed-route and paratransit passengers. He has directed on-board transit surveys of varying sample sizes for many cities and regions.
Casas has professional affiliations with the International Steering Committee on Travel Survey Conferences, Osorno, Chile; the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; and various committees of the Transportation Research Board. He has contributed to publications and numerous presentations throughout his career.
